Stick Men
Series - Some or all works available
I heat my house with firewood, and in the process of being out in the woods I find all sorts of interesting stick figures lurking in the branches of the dead trees. These figures both large and small were extracted from brush piles and firewood excursions in the woods.
Rat Barrier: Misc.
Series - Some or all works available
These previously described images were wonderful, however they were hard to catagorise by subject matter. They are grouped here together as misc., but each one has it's own theme.
Rat Barrier: Military
Series - Some or all works available
This series of printing plate negatives collaged into subject matter was discovered tearing down an old garage. Its hard to get a feel for these without seeing them up close.
Rat Barrier: Tutoral
Series - Some or all works available
These printing plate negatives were collaged together, or directly mounted onto 1/2' plywood. The images and text are diffused and hard to make out in spots, but this I find appealing. This series collages educational textbooks and primers from the 50's.
Stump Rock
Available
This piece is a great example of how my process works. A friend cut this bit free from a riverbank because he knew I'd like it. I kept it around for years, knowing I would eventually get inspired by it. What I realized was that the piece was perfect on it's own, and I added and/or changed nothing. The base is concrete, sandblasted to reveal the shattered windshield added to the aggregate. The piece is 1'wide,and 5'tall.
